Restorative Dentistry is the art and science of restoring the oral environment to its optimal masticatory function. A large population within the US and abroad are faced with missing or failing dentition, and often times, left untreated could result in a catastrophic masticatory dysfunction. The missing dentition needs to be replaced with false restorations to prevent drifting of teeth; this phenomena doesn’t just occur in the immediate area, but rather affects the entire arch or both. Frequently, the location of the missing teeth are sporadic in the arch and can’t be restored easily. A larger, full mouth consideration needs to be planned, and often times, as in this case, a Chrome Cobalt (Vitallium® 2000 Plus partial denture alloy) cast metal partial denture is the ideal answer.
